Armenia lose second centre-back ahead of Nations League opener

Noah centre-back Sergey Muradyan has suffered an injury and left the Armenia national team’s training camp. He will miss the upcoming Nations League matches.
The news emerged on the morning of September 23, two days before Yeghishe Melikyan’s side play their opening match. Armenia will host Latvia in Yerevan on September 25.
Another centre-back, Styopa Mkrtchyan, had already been unable to join the squad because of an injury. The coaching staff have therefore lost two players called up for that position ahead of the tournament. Muradyan and Mkrtchyan were both included in Armenia’s initial squad.
After facing Latvia, Armenia will host Montenegro on September 28.
