The Armenia national basketball team will travel to the United States again this summer, where it will play another exhibition game.
According to the Basketball Federation of Armenia, on June 27 the team led by Rex Kalamian will face the Panama national team in a friendly match.
The game will take place in Los Angeles. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
Holding games in the United States has already become a good tradition for the Armenian team. For the fourth year in a row, Armenia has organized such matchups overseas. In 2023, the Armenian team faced France; in 2024, it played against Ireland and Guatemala; and in 2025, it held a game against Costa Rica.
These games help the national team prepare for official tournaments and also give the coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate potential newcomers, including basketball players of Armenian descent who compete in U.S. college leagues.
Players who are not yet eligible to represent the Armenia national team due to current restrictions related to sports citizenship and participation in college leagues often take part in such games. The team is led in these matchups by well-known specialist Rex Kalamian.
It should be noted that Armenia currently has one more game scheduled for 2026 — an away match against Norway on July 2. That fixture will be Armenia’s final game in the first round of qualification for the 2029 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Armenia has already lost its chance to advance from the group.
