Armenia’s national basketball team defeats Costa Rica in first friendly match

Armenia’s national basketball team (FIBA 91), led by American coach Rex Kalamian, claimed a confident victory over Costa Rica (FIBA 74) in the first friendly match. The game was held on June 7 in Fresno, California, and ended with a score of 86–62 in favor of the Armenian team.

Team captain Andre Spight-Mkrtchyan was the top scorer of the game, recording 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal.
Artem Tavakalyan also had a standout performance, contributing 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
NCAA player Connor Essigian added 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Another NCAA representative, Anto Balian, finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.
