Yerevan-based Noah are close to strengthening their squad with experienced Serbian midfielder Saša Zdjelar. The 31-year-old is expected to join the Armenian champions as a free agent.
Insider Suren Meliksetyan reports that the transfer is set to take place, with sources from Serbia and Russia also confirming that Zdjelar is expected to continue his career in Armenia.
The defensive midfielder most recently played for Belgrade-based Partizan, which he left in the summer of 2026. He has been a free agent since then. Earlier reports indicated that Russian clubs Fakel and Sochi had also shown interest in signing him.
Zdjelar is well known to Russian football fans. During his career, he has represented CSKA Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg. He has also played for Greek side Olympiacos and Spanish club Mallorca.
At international level, the midfielder has made nine appearances for the Serbia national team.
According to Transfermarkt, Zdjelar's current market value is €2.5 million, while at its peak it reached €4 million.
The arrival of an experienced defensive midfielder could be an important reinforcement for Noah. Following Yan Eteki's injury, the Yerevan club has been short of high-quality options in the holding midfield position.
Meanwhile, Noah have made an excellent start to the 2026/27 Armenian Premier League season. The team have recorded seven wins from their opening seven matches and sit alone at the top of the standings with a perfect record.
