Armenia competed at the championships with a nine-member boxing team and finished the tournament with one bronze medal. Artem Stepanyan, competing in the 70 kg weight category, was Armenia's only medalist.
Stepanyan secured three victories on his way to the semifinals, defeating opponents from Latvia, Bulgaria and Russia in succession. In the bout for a place in the final, the Armenian boxer faced Ireland's John Daniel Maher and narrowly lost a closely contested fight by a 3–2 split decision.
As a result, Stepanyan claimed the bronze medal, earning Armenia its only podium finish at the championships.
