Ruben Nazaretyan is the main candidate for the FFA presidency

Ruben Nazaretyan is considered the main candidate for the post of president of the Football Federation of Armenia.

According to journalist Norik Serobyan, instead of Armen Melikbekyan, the FFA is expected to put forward his adviser, former head coach of the Armenia national futsal team Ruben Nazaretyan, for the position of federation president.

Rumors about Nazaretyan possibly entering the leadership of the Football Federation of Armenia have been circulating in the football community for a long time. However, after Melikbekyan said that he does not plan to run for another term, sources confirmed that Nazaretyan is now viewed as the main candidate for the FFA presidency.

Nazaretyan himself confirmed in a conversation with Norik Serobyan that this option is indeed being discussed, but added that he has not yet made a final decision.

“The football community wants me to become president of the FFA,” Nazaretyan said.

The election of the president of the Football Federation of Armenia is expected to take place at the end of the year.
