2026 World Cup Group Stage Draw Results: Full Line-up of All 12 Groups

The draw for the FIFA World Cup 2026 group stage has concluded in Washington. During the ceremony at the Kennedy Center, 12 groups of the new format — from A to L — were formed.
The tournament, which will be held in an expanded format for the first time, will feature 48 teams. Currently, 42 of the 48 participants are confirmed and took part in the draw. The remaining six berths will be decided in March 2026 through European (4) and intercontinental (2) playoffs.

Key Points of the Draw

Tournament hosts — USA, Canada, and Mexico — received positions D1, B1, and A1 respectively.

Pot 1 teams were allocated to positions A1–L1.

UEFA was allowed to have up to two teams in one group; other confederations strictly one per group.

Winners of the European and intercontinental playoffs were assigned to Pot 4 and received their groups at the end of the draw.
