Olympiacos officially unveil Armenia defender Nair Tiknizyan

Greek football club Olympiacos have officially announced the signing of Armenia national team defender Nair Tiknizyan. The 27-year-old will continue his career with one of the most decorated clubs in Greek football.
The Armenian defender has signed a four-year contract, with an option to extend the deal for another season. According to available information, Tiknizyan is expected to earn around €1 million per year at his new club.
Tiknizyan joins Olympiacos after playing for Serbian side Red Star Belgrade, which he joined in the summer of 2025. The defender made 67 appearances for the Belgrade club, including seven matches this season.
Before moving to Serbia, Tiknizyan spent several years playing in Russia. He made 122 appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow, having previously represented CSKA Moscow, where he played 43 matches. He also had a spell with Avangard Kursk.
Tiknizyan has represented the Armenia national team since 2023. To date, the defender has made 31 appearances for Armenia and scored one goal. Earlier in his career, he also represented Russia at U19, U20 and U21 levels.
The move to Olympiacos marks a new stage in the Armenian international’s European career. The Greek club is expected to use Tiknizyan primarily as a left-back.
