Narek Hovhannisyan Makes Lechia Gdańsk Debut After Armenia National Team Duty

Armenia national team winger Narek Hovhannisyan made his official debut for Polish club Lechia Gdańsk, who secured a 2–1 victory over Stal Rzeszów in the Polish league.

The Armenian footballer came off the bench in the 71st minute, making his first competitive appearance for his new club.

After ten rounds, Lechia Gdańsk sit fourth in the Polish First Division standings.

Hovhannisyan joined the Polish side from Yerevan-based BKMA. However, immediately after completing his transfer, he joined the Armenia national team and featured in all four of the country's UEFA Nations League matches in September and October.

As a result, Hovhannisyan had to wait until returning from international duty to make his debut for Lechia.

Interestingly, another Armenia international winger, Artur Serobyan, is set to join the Polish club during the winter transfer window.

Serobyan has also agreed to move to Lechia but will remain with Ararat-Armenia until the winter to help the Yerevan club in the UEFA Europa League.

This means that Lechia Gdańsk could have two Armenia national team players in their squad during the second half of the season.
