According to Metaratings.ru, Armenia national team defender and Red Star Belgrade player Nair Tiknizyan has obtained a visa and will be able to take part in the away match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Ireland.
The match will take place on October 14 in Dublin and will kick off at 21:45 Moscow time. Earlier, it was reported that the player faced difficulties with paperwork, putting his participation in doubt.
The player’s agent Alexander Klyuev had previously confirmed the visa issues, noting that the Football Federation of Armenia was keeping the situation under control. The matter has now been successfully resolved, and Tiknizyan is ready to help the national team.
The 26-year-old defender joined Red Star Belgrade this summer from the Russian Premier League. He has made 24 appearances for the Armenia national team, scoring one goal and providing six assists.
After two rounds of World Cup qualification, Armenia has three points and sits second in Group F, with one win and one loss.
Earlier, in case of Tiknizyan’s potential absence, the coaching staff had called up Arsen Sadoyan, but now the participation of the main left-back is beyond doubt.
