Levon Asatryan Wins Bronze at the World Veterans Wrestling Championship

54-year-old Armenian wrestler Levon Asatryan (78 kg) won a bronze medal at the 2025 World Veterans Freestyle Wrestling Championship, held in Budapest from October 7 to 12.

In the bronze medal match, Asatryan defeated Bulgarian wrestler Gyunay Gyunev with a score of 8:4. The gold medal went to Germany’s Falk Schlehann, while Russia’s Sergey Shanyavsky took silver.

This is Armenia’s second bronze at the tournament, following Armen Karapetyan’s (70 kg) earlier win.
