Leon Shahbazyan suffers TKO loss to Levan Chokheli in UFC debut

Leon Shahbazyan had an unsuccessful UFC debut. The Armenian fighter suffered a defeat against Georgia’s Levan Chokheli at UFC Vegas 119, which is taking place on June 21 in Las Vegas.
The bout ended early in the first round. Chokheli quickly took control of the fight and secured a victory by technical knockout. This fight was also the UFC debut for the Georgian fighter.
After this defeat, Shahbazyan’s professional record dropped to 12-5. Chokheli improved his record to 15-3.
Before signing with the UFC, Leon Shahbazyan, the older brother of Edmen Shahbazyan, had a successful run in Tuff-N-Uff, where he earned four consecutive stoppage victories.
Another Armenian fighter, Melsik Baghdasaryan, is also set to compete at UFC Vegas 119. He will face Murtazali Magomedov.
