Karen Khachanov starts Wimbledon with a win

Karen Khachanov made a successful start to his Wimbledon 2026 campaign. The world No. 22 defeated British player Billy Harris in the first round.
The match ended with Khachanov winning in four sets — 6-3, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3.
After taking the opening set confidently, Khachanov lost the second, but then regained control and closed out the match. In the fourth set, with Khachanov leading 4-1, he required a medical timeout, but still managed to complete the victory.
In the second round of Wimbledon, Khachanov will face Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann, who is ranked No. 56 in the ATP rankings.
