Spain had no major problems against Austria in the World Cup 2026 knockout stage. Luis de la Fuente’s side earned a confident 3-0 win and advanced to the Round of 16.
The main hero of the match was Mikel Oyarzabal, who scored twice. Pedro Porro added another goal for Spain, while Marc Cucurella also delivered an excellent performance with two assists.
Spain played with great confidence and gave Austria almost no chance to get back into the game. The Spanish side controlled the match, calmly secured a big win and confirmed their status as one of the tournament favorites.
In the World Cup 2026 Round of 16, Spain will face the winner of the Portugal vs Croatia tie.
