Inter claimed a 1-0 victory over Cagliari in the second round of the Italian Serie A season. The only goal of the match was scored by Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan remained on the bench and did not feature in the match. The Armenian midfielder had missed the opening round of the championship due to suspension.
Petar Sucic, Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella started in central midfield for Inter. Curtis Jones and Piotr Zielinski came on as substitutes, while Stankovic and Mkhitaryan remained on the bench.
As a result, Mkhitaryan has yet to make an appearance in the new Serie A season.
