Barcelona forward of Armenian descent Roony Bardghji has once again been called up to the Swedish senior national team and will therefore miss the Sweden U21 match against Armenia U21, which will take place on November 18 in Armavir as part of the Euro 2027 (U21) qualifiers.

Sweden senior national team squad:

Руни Бардагджи Швеция

The 19-year-old winger has already made two appearances for the senior team — 5 minutes against Switzerland (0:2) and a full match in a friendly against Kosovo (0:1). Notably, Bardghji started the autumn with the Sweden U21 team and even captained the side in a match against Armenia U21, scoring a goal (3:0).

However, this time Sweden U21 will travel to Armavir without their leader: Bardghji will be preparing and playing for the senior team in games against Switzerland and Slovenia. This season, he has made 9 appearances for Barcelona’s first team and provided an assist in the Champions League match against Olympiacos (6:1).
