Armenia U21 national team started the qualifiers with a defeat against Sweden

Armenia U21 team had an unsuccessful start in the UEFA Euro 2027 qualifying campaign. In the opening match, the Armenian side lost 0-3 to Sweden U21.
The match took place on September 5 in Falkenberg. Goals for the hosts were scored by Bayern’s Yoan Kusi Asare (currently on loan at Fulham), Basel’s midfielder Jeremie Agbonifo, and Barcelona’s player Rooney Bardghji, who has Armenian roots.

The next match for Armenia U21 will take place on September 9 in Yerevan against Poland, who on the same day confidently beat North Macedonia 3-0.
In another Group E game, Italy defeated Montenegro 2-1.
