Bichakhchyan’s goal helped Legia reach the main stage of the Conference League (VIDEO)

Legia Warsaw secured a place in the Conference League group stage after a dramatic clash against Scotland’s Hibernian.

In the second-leg match, Armenia international midfielder Vahan Bichakhchyan opened the scoring, giving the Poles a 3-1 aggregate lead. However, the visitors from Edinburgh managed to stage a comeback, scoring three times and taking the lead on aggregate.

In stoppage time, Legia were saved by Elitim, whose precise strike in the 93rd minute pushed the game into extra time. There, Miljeta Rajović became the hero by netting the winning goal.

Final result — 5:4 in favor of Legia (first leg 2:1, second leg 3:3). The Polish club will continue its campaign in the group stage of the Conference League.

It is worth noting that Armenian champions Noah will also feature in the Conference League group stage, while forward Tigran Barseghyan will represent Armenian football with Slovak side Slovan.
