Mkhitaryan and Barseghyan Come Off the Bench in Champions League as Inter Win and Slovan Suffer Heavy Defeat

The fourth round of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase took place on November 3. Italian side Inter Milan secured a convincing 3-0 away victory over Dutch club Feyenoord, while Slovakia's Slovan Bratislava suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat against Austrian side LASK.

Both former Armenia national team captains, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Tigran Barseghyan, started their respective matches on the bench and were introduced during the second half.

Mkhitaryan Helps Inter Maintain Their Lead

Inter Milan's 37-year-old midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan came on as a substitute in the 57th minute, with the Italian side already leading 3-0.

Tigran Barseghyan's Slovan Bratislava suffered another heavy Champions League defeat, losing 4-0 away to LASK.

The Armenian winger entered the match in the 75th minute, when all four goals had already been scored.

Despite his limited playing time, Barseghyan managed to create several dangerous moments in front of the opposition's goal. He registered two shots with a combined expected goals (xG) value of 0.19 and provided one key pass.
