Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been named in Inter’s starting lineup for the Serie A Matchday 36 game against Lazio. The match will take place today, May 9, at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and will kick off at 18:00 local time, 20:00 Yerevan time.
For Armenian fans, this match carries special meaning. Considering the possibility that Mkhitaryan could end his career at the end of the season, the game against Lazio may become one of the final matches in the professional career of the legendary Armenian footballer.
Inter approach this match already as Italian champions. The Milan club secured the Scudetto in the previous round, so Cristian Chivu’s team can play with less pressure, but the game against Lazio still remains important and interesting.
Mkhitaryan will start in midfield alongside Nicolo Barella and Petar Sucic. Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez will lead Inter’s attack from the first minutes.
For Mkhitaryan, this is another chance to step onto the pitch in an Inter shirt and give the fans a beautiful football evening. Matches like this are already worth watching not only for the result, but also for the moment — to once again enjoy the game of one of the greatest footballers in Armenian history.
