Henrikh Mkhitaryan to face Tigran Barseghyan in the Champions League; match to be played in Bratislava

The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase will feature an Armenian showdown, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s Inter facing Tigran Barseghyan’s Slovan Bratislava. The match will be played in Bratislava, where the Slovak club will host the Milan side.
The Champions League league-phase draw took place on August 27 in Monaco. All 36 teams were drawn against eight opponents, with each club set to play four matches at home and four away.
Inter’s opponents
At home: Liverpool, Shakhtar, Club Brugge, Stuttgart.
Away: Real Madrid, Feyenoord, Borussia Dortmund, Slovan Bratislava.
As a result, one of Inter’s four away matches will take place in the Slovak capital, where Mkhitaryan’s side will face Barseghyan’s Slovan.

At home: Inter, Shakhtar, Betis, Stuttgart.
Away: PSG, Lille, Roma, LASK.
For Armenian football fans, the Slovan vs Inter clash will be one of the most intriguing matches of the league phase. The 37-year-old Mkhitaryan extended his contract with the Milan club until 2027 this summer, while Barseghyan continues to play for the Slovak champions.
