FC Van is alive: Edgar Torosyan takes charge of the Charentsavan club

FC Van from Charentsavan will continue to exist and participate in the Armenian Premier League. Edgar Torosyan has been appointed the team’s new head coach.

This is not the 41-year-old specialist’s first experience in Armenian top-flight football — he previously managed Alashkert, Ararat, and Shirak.

This is Van’s first move during the summer transfer window — previously, uncertainty surrounded the club. Now it’s clear: the team is alive and ready to fight.

Earlier, Van’s entire management and 17 players moved to Alashkert — more details in our dedicated article. Torosyan’s appointment might signal a reverse movement — it’s quite possible that some players who used to play for Alashkert will now follow him to Charentsavan.
