A major transition has taken place in Armenian football, marking the beginning of a new era for Yerevan-based club Alashkert. A total of 17 players from Van have officially signed contracts with Alashkert.
These players are: Arsen Beglaryan, Anatoli Aivazov, Klaider Macedo, Serob Grigoryan, Arsen Sadoyan, Davit Terteryan, Robert Hakobyan, Yuri Gareginyan, Karen Nalbandyan, Kajali Drammeh, Momo Toure, Levon Vardanyan, Malik Odeyinka, Eymar Bationo, Yaroslav Matyukhin, Olawale Farayola, and Usman Ajibona.
This large-scale transfer follows structural changes during the offseason. Earlier it was announced that Van’s entire management team—including the head coach, his assistants, and administrative staff—had joined Alashkert. Moreover, Van’s former co-owner Anton Zingarevich became a co-owner of Alashkert and transferred his entire football project there. According to sources, his cooperation with Van’s previous owner Sergey Gukasov became impossible, as the latter allegedly failed to fulfill his obligations.
Zingarevich will now work in tandem with Alashkert’s other co-owner, Bagrat Navoyan. This new chapter for the club promises to be dynamic and ambitious, with a revamped squad, a new management model, and high goals in the Armenian Premier League.
