18-year-old Armenian footballer Finn Geragusian has not yet accepted Sunderland’s offer of the first professional contract of his career.
The English Premier League club has offered Geragusian a contract as a U21 team player. According to English media reports, the footballer is waiting for Sunderland’s final decision regarding their Europa League squad.
The English club must decide which young players will be included on List B. If Geragusian is among them, he is likely to accept the club’s offer.
Of course, being included on List B does not guarantee playing time in Europa League matches, but it gives the footballer a certain chance to move closer to the first team.
Last season, Geragusian scored 13 goals and provided 3 assists in all competitions for Sunderland’s U18 and U21 teams. He was also involved in the first team’s FA Cup matches and has already made his debut for the Armenia national team.
It should be recalled that Sunderland qualified for the Europa League, finishing ahead of Chelsea.
