On October 7, the Armenian national team, led by Yeghishe Melikyan, held its second training session in preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Hungary (October 11) and Ireland (October 14).
Today, five more players joined the national squad — Vahan Bichakhchyan, Artur Miranyan, Tigran Barseghyan, Grant-Leon Ranos, and Nair Tiknizyan. All of them took part in a full training session held at the Avan Football Academy fields in Yerevan.
Thus, the Armenian national team is continuing its preparations for the decisive matches with an almost complete squad. The only absentee remains the captain of Argentina’s Belgrano, Lucas Zelarayán, who will join the team on October 10 directly in Budapest.
However, the team suffered a setback: winger Edgar Sevikyan left the camp due to injury and will not be able to help the team in the upcoming matches.
