American fighter of Armenian descent Edmen Shahbazyan (15–5) will return to action at UFC 320, scheduled for October 4 in Las Vegas. According to Mmafighting, his opponent will be experienced Brazilian Andre Muniz (24–7).
This will be the 27-year-old Shahbazyan’s first appearance on a numbered UFC card since 2022. Edmen has been on a strong run in 2025, securing two convincing wins — first knocking out Dylan Budka in just 95 seconds, then outpointing wrestler Andre Petroski in June. With two straight victories, “The Golden Boy” is closing in on a return to the middleweight rankings.
In contrast, Muniz is going through a rough patch in his career. The 35-year-old Brazilian, who began his UFC tenure with six wins in seven fights, has suffered three stoppage losses in his last four bouts — against Ikram Aliskerov, Paul Craig, and Brendan Allen. Despite the setbacks, Muniz remains a dangerous grappler with high-level jiu-jitsu and past wins over fighters like Uriah Hall and Rodrigo Souza.
The UFC 320 bout is a big opportunity for Shahbazyan to solidify his resurgence, earn a third straight win, and stake his claim for a top-15 spot in the division. The event will be held at T-Mobile Arena, though the main event has yet to be announced.
