Edmen Shahbazyan (14-5) secured an impressive and quick victory at UFC Vegas 102. The 27-year-old Armenian MMA fighter knocked out Dylan Budka (7-5) in just 1 minute and 25 seconds.
Early in the first round, Shahbazyan landed a precise right hand to his opponent’s chin, sending him to the canvas. He then rushed in for the finish, but the referee stepped in just in time, stopping the fight and declaring a knockout victory.
This was Shahbazyan’s 12th knockout win in his career. His UFC record now stands at 7-5. With this victory, Edmen rebounded from his previous loss to Gerald Meerschaert and can now aim to start a new winning streak, just like the one that once propelled him into the UFC middleweight top 10.
For Budka, this was his third consecutive loss, bringing his record to 7 wins and 5 losses.
