Two Armenians played against Azerbaijan as part of Russia U17 national team

On February 16, in Minsk, as part of the Development Cup, the Russia U17 national team confidently defeated their Azerbaijani peers with a score of 3-0.

Two players of Armenian descent took part in this match – Eduard Martirosyan from Akron and Sarkis Tveritnev from Rostov. Both footballers got playing time, and Tveritnev (#19) provided an assist, making an important contribution to his team's victory.
