Diogo Dalot will not play against Armenia, Nuno Tavares called up to Portugal squad

Portugal’s national team suffered a personnel loss ahead of the Euro qualifier against Armenia. Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot picked up an injury during the team’s first training session and has already left the camp.

In his place, Roberto Martínez has called up Lazio defender Nuno Tavares. The player will arrive in Yerevan directly from Rome today and join his teammates.

Francisco Conceição remains doubtful as he continues individual training. Earlier, Rafael Leão also suffered an injury, which kept him out of the squad for the upcoming matches.

The Armenia vs Portugal clash will take place on September 6 in Yerevan, with kickoff at 20:00 local time.
