Deportivo Armenio stops one step away from the second sensation in the Argentina Cup

The third-division Argentine club Deportivo Armenio, representing the Armenian community of Buenos Aires, came close to pulling off a second consecutive upset in the Argentine Cup.
After a resounding 1/32 final victory over top-flight side Talleres from Córdoba, Armenio once again faced a Primera División opponent — this time Deportivo Riestra. The regular time ended in an exciting 2–2 draw, but in a dramatic penalty shootout, luck favored the favorites — Riestra won 4–3.
Despite the defeat, Deportivo Armenio, currently 15th in their third-division zone, left a strong impression with their determined play and continue to surprise fans across the country.
