Armenian-Yezidi fighter David Mgoyan (7-0) made a bold statement after his latest victory at Tuff-N-Uff 144, held on May 22 in San Diego. The young talent doesn’t hide his ambitions — he wants to join the UFC and is ready to prove himself on the most prestigious stage in global MMA.
At the event, Mgoyan was accompanied by one of the UFC’s most prominent fighters — Arman Tsarukyan, who actively supported his fellow countryman and even helped him with translation during the post-fight interview. When the host asked David about his future goals, Tsarukyan advised him: “Say it in English — I want to be in the UFC.”
Mgoyan didn’t hesitate and directly addressed the leadership of the world’s largest MMA promotion:
"Hey, Dana White, Sean Shelby, remember my name — David Mgoyan. I’m only 20 years old, my professional record is 7 wins, 0 losses. Please give me one chance to join the UFC — and I’ll show you everything I’ve got!"
According to many analysts, the next step in Mgoyan’s career could be a spot in Dana White's Contender Series — a show where young prospects have the chance to earn a UFC contract. If David shines there, his debut in the world’s biggest league might happen very soon.
Fans are already eagerly awaiting updates — David Mgoyan’s name is making more and more noise in the MMA world.
It's worth noting that Mgoyan competes in the featherweight division and has already secured 4 wins in the U.S. Previously, the fighter from the Rostov region competed in Russia.
