UFC President Dana White stated at the post-UFC 311 press conference that Arman Tsarukyan will not fight for the championship title; he will need to have one more contender match first.
"Arman Tsarukyan missed his chance. His next fight will not be for the title, and he will have to wait for a championship opportunity," said Dana White.
It’s worth remembering that on January 19, Tsarukyan was supposed to fight Makhachev for the championship belt, but withdrew from the fight due to injury. Instead, Renato Moicano stepped in and lost by submission in the first round.
