In the Round 27 match of the Serbian championship, Red Star defeated IMT 2–1. Two Armenia national team players faced each other in this match — Red Star defender Nair Tiknizyan and IMT goalkeeper Ognjen Čančarević.

Čančarević started the match in the starting lineup and played the full game. The goalkeeper made four saves and received a SofaScore rating of 6.3.

Tiknizyan began the match on the bench and came on in the 68th minute. During his time on the field, the wing-back delivered one key pass, made two tackles and one interception, and won both of his duels. His performance was rated 6.9 by SofaScore.

After this victory, Red Star remains at the top of the standings ahead of the championship round. The team has 66 points and leads its closest rival, Partizan, by 10 points.

With three rounds remaining before the end of the regular season, IMT still has a chance to reach the championship group, trailing eighth place by just two points.

It should be noted that Tiknizyan has been called up for Armenia’s upcoming matches against the UAE (March 26) and Belarus (March 29), while Čančarević will not represent the national team this time.
