2025 European Freestyle Wrestling Championships U17: First Day Results

Today, June 13, the U17 European Freestyle Wrestling Championship kicked off in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. On the first day of the tournament, finalists were determined in the 48, 55, 65, 80, and 110 kg weight categories.
Team Armenia’s Successes
Artak Agabekyan advanced to the final after a strong 5:4 semifinal win over Russian wrestler Umar Magomedov.
Armen Papikyan displayed an impressive performance. In the quarterfinals, he earned a comeback win over a Moldovan opponent with a score of 23:21. He will compete for the bronze medal tomorrow.
Laert Movsisyan will also fight for bronze.
