Barseghyan Produces Out-of-This-World Football After Coming Off the Bench (VIDEO)

Former Armenia national team midfielder Tigran Barseghyan delivered a brilliant performance in the Slovak league clash between Bratislava’s Slovan and Ruzomberok. The Armenian came on in the 61st minute with the score at 1-0 and became one of the main protagonists of his team’s emphatic 5-0 victory.

Barseghyan needed only a few minutes to make his mark on the game. Almost immediately after coming onto the pitch, Tigran produced a spectacular outside-of-the-boot cross from the right flank. Alexey Maros met his pinpoint delivery with a header to make it 2-0.

It is the kind of cross you could watch over and over again. At full speed, Barseghyan somehow managed to deliver the ball with incredible precision using the outside of his boot. It looked almost extraterrestrial. Previously, you might have expected to see something like that only from Ricardo Quaresma.

But “Tiko Magic” was far from over.

The Armenian midfielder continued to play an active role in Slovan’s attacks and was involved in several more dangerous and ultimately productive moves from the home side. In the second half, the Bratislava club’s dominance became overwhelming: Daiki Matsuoka and Manasse Kianga got on the scoresheet before Barseghyan himself provided the finishing touch.

In the 88th minute, Tigran found space to shoot from outside the penalty area and produced a genuine football masterpiece. His powerful and perfectly placed strike flew in off the right post and into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with virtually no chance.

The goal completed the scoring and sealed a 5-0 victory for Slovan.

Barseghyan’s performance was even more impressive considering that he had only recently returned from injury. Despite the enforced layoff, the Armenian midfielder is quickly regaining his form and once again displaying the qualities that make him one of the most dangerous attacking players in the Bratislava side.

Statistics platform SofaScore rated Barseghyan’s performance at 8.6.

With the emphatic victory, Slovan continued their strong start to the new Slovak league season. The team has yet to drop points or concede a goal, while Barseghyan’s introduction against Ruzomberok turned Bratislava’s attack into a genuine show.
