Slovan Bratislava midfielder Tigran Barseghyan will miss both matches of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie against Georgian side Iberia.
The former Armenia captain was left out of Slovan’s squad due to a minor injury, head coach Yaya Touré has confirmed.
The first match between Iberia and Slovan will take place in Tbilisi on July 21.
Ahead of the start of the competitive season, Barseghyan produced several strong performances during preseason under new head coach Yaya Touré. However, the injury will force the Armenian footballer to miss Slovan’s first competitive matches of the new campaign.
