Artur Miranyan makes Ironi Tiberias debut in Israeli league

Armenia national team striker Artur Miranyan has made his first appearance for Israeli club Ironi Tiberias.

The Armenian forward made his debut in the Matchday 4 fixture against Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli championship. Miranyan came on as a substitute in the 76th minute, while the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

After four rounds, Ironi Tiberias have recorded two wins, one draw and one defeat. However, the team sit second from bottom with just one point, as they began the season with a six-point deduction imposed by the federation. Without the penalty, the club would have seven points and would currently occupy third place in the standings.

Ironi Tiberias will play their next match on September 19 against Maccabi Haifa. The game will give Miranyan another opportunity to get playing time and improve his match fitness ahead of Armenia’s upcoming international fixtures.

Miranyan joined Ironi Tiberias ahead of the current season from another Israeli club, Bnei Sakhnin.
