From April 22 to 27, the European Sambo Championships for adults, juniors, youth, and cadets took place in Limassol, Cyprus. The Armenian national team won 21 medals across all age categories: 3 gold, 5 silver, and 13 bronze medals.
On April 27, the cadet tournament for athletes under 16 concluded, where the following members of the Armenian team excelled:

Araik Petrosyan — silver in the up to 58 kg category,

Aram Kirakosyan — bronze in the up to 53 kg category,

Gor Muradyan — bronze in the up to 71 kg category,

Gor Antonyan — bronze in the up to 79 kg category.
In the final of the up to 58 kg category, Araik Petrosyan lost to Artur Petrosyan-Jigarhanyan, who represented the Russian team and became the European champion.
Taking into account all age categories, the following Armenian athletes became European Sambo champions:

Arman Avanesyan (98 kg) — among adults,

Mger Hovhannisyan (71 kg) — among athletes under 20,

Gor Shatveryan (71 kg) — among athletes under 18.
In the overall medal standings across all ages, the Armenian team ranked 5th.
