Armenian Para-Armwrestlers Win 17 Medals and Set a World Record in Budapest

The 28th European Para Armwrestling Championships were held in Budapest, Hungary, from May 8 to 20, featuring athletes from 34 countries.
The Armenian team delivered a remarkable performance, winning 17 medals:
8 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze, finishing third in the overall team standings.
The highlight of the tournament was a historic match between Armenia and Moldova.
Armenian athlete Volodya Bazeyan and Moldova’s Nikolay Tikalyuk set a new world record for the longest armwrestling bout ever recorded.
Competing in the seated 65 kg category on the left hand, the match lasted approximately 45–46 minutes, surpassing the previous 26-minute record.
The victory went to the Moldovan athlete, while Volodya Bazeyan secured a bronze medal.
