Armenian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan has become the Real American Freestyle (RAF) middleweight champion after securing a dominant early victory over Armenian-American Dillon Danis.
The bout took place on October 24, Yerevan time, as the main event of RAF 14 in Las Vegas, USA. Tsarukyan completely dominated the action on the wrestling mat, finishing the match in the opening period with a 10–0 victory by technical superiority.
From the opening seconds, the Armenian fighter took control, successfully executing takedowns and scoring points with effective wrestling techniques. Danis was unable to mount a meaningful attack or offer serious resistance.
The victory earned Tsarukyan the RAF Crossover middleweight championship belt, which was on the line in this highly anticipated matchup.
Tsarukyan and Danis Clash Again After the Match
The two fighters had already been involved in an altercation during the pre-fight press conference. The confrontation was sparked by a provocation from Danis, who appeared wearing a T-shirt featuring an offensive message directed at Khamzat Chimaev.
Tensions remained high even after the match ended. Tsarukyan deliberately stepped on his opponent as Danis was getting up from the mat, prompting security personnel to intervene. However, the two fighters eventually shook hands.
For Tsarukyan, the victory marked a return to winning ways following his defeat to Colby Covington at RAF 11 in July 2026.
It is also worth noting that Armenian wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan previously became an RAF champion.
