Arman Tsarukyan to Be Backup Fighter for UFC 317 Main Event: Topuria vs Oliveira

Arman Tsarukyan announced on social media that he will serve as the official backup fighter for the main event of UFC 317, where Ilia Topuria will face Charles Oliveira for the vacant lightweight title.
The Armenian fighter stated that he will be in Las Vegas and ready to step into the octagon in case one of the main event participants is unable to compete due to medical or other reasons.
Tsarukyan’s last MMA bout was against Oliveira in April 2024. Since then, he hasn’t competed under MMA rules but has taken part in two grappling matches.
UFC 317 promises to be one of the key lightweight events of the year, and Tsarukyan’s role as the backup fighter adds intrigue to the anticipated showdown.
