Yerevan-based club Ararat-Armenia continues its active transfer campaign and has announced another signing. The Armenian vice-champions have added 25-year-old Brazilian forward João Lima to their squad.
Lima spent last season at Portuguese club Alverca, where he scored five goals. His career also includes stints at Goiás in Brazil’s Serie A, Santa Clara in Portugal’s top division, and a club from the UAE Pro League. According to Transfermarkt, the player's market value is €200,000.
Lima becomes Ararat-Armenia’s sixth signing from the Portuguese Second League this summer. Earlier, the club signed forward Paul Ayongo (Chaves), goalkeeper Bruno Pinto (Felgueiras), and three midfielders: Balanta (Torrense), Hugo Oliveira (Felgueiras), and Welton (Paços de Ferreira).
Let us remind you, Ararat-Armenia is preparing for participation in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers. In the second round, the Armenian club will face Romanian side Universitatea Cluj.
