Yerevan-based Pyunik have decided who will temporarily replace Artak Oseyan following his departure as the team's head coach. Aram Gyulbudaghyants has been appointed interim head coach, the Armenian club's press service announced.
Gyulbudaghyants is well acquainted with Pyunik's structure, having worked within the club's system since 2017. In addition to his coaching duties, he is also in charge of Pyunik's youth football development program.
The changes to the coaching staff came after the club and Artak Oseyan ended their cooperation. The two sides terminated the existing contract by mutual consent.
The decision followed a public conflict between Oseyan and Pyunik's adviser for sporting operations, Dmitry Selyuk.
Gyulbudaghyants will therefore be responsible for preparing the first team and leading it in matches for the time being. Pyunik have yet to announce the appointment of a permanent head coach.
