Kenyan midfielder Amos Nondi could extend his stay at Ararat-Armenia. According to Footy-Africa, the club and the player have resumed talks over a new contract, as his current deal is set to expire on June 30.
The two sides were close to an agreement back in September last year, but the deal fell through at the last minute. A two-year contract is now on the table.
A source from Prostar, the agency representing Nondi, told Footy-Africa:
“He was close to signing last summer, but it didn’t quite come off. Now the talks are back on—Ararat-Armenia have proposed a two-year deal. Amos is happy at the club, but if an offer from a stronger European league comes, he could leave. It’s not about money for him—he wants to grow and develop. He’s a very ambitious player.”
Nondi has been with Ararat-Armenia since 2021, making 77 appearances across all competitions. He played 28 matches last season, including in the Conference League qualifiers. He previously played in Georgia for Dila Gori and Kolkheti Poti.
The 26-year-old has earned 17 caps and scored once for the Kenyan national team. His current Transfermarkt value stands at €225,000.
