Adam Melikyan scored a great goal in the U17 Bundesliga against Borussia Dortmund (VIDEO)

16-year-old Armenian footballer Adam Melikyan impressed with a brilliant strike in the match against Borussia Dortmund U17.

The Viktoria Köln U17 player scored his team’s only goal in the 4th round of the U17 DFB-Nachwuchsliga (Germany’s top U17 league). Viktoria Köln U17 lost 1–4, but Melikyan netted a spectacular long-range goal.

Notably, this was the first goal conceded by Borussia Dortmund U17 this season. The Dortmund side currently leads the table.

Adam Melikyan was born in Moscow and played for Lokomotiv Moscow’s youth team. In 2021, he joined Bayer Leverkusen, and in 2024 he became a Viktoria Köln player. Since the start of this season, Melikyan has been a regular starter in the U17 championship.

Despite his young age, Adam possesses impressive physical attributes — standing at 188 cm, he remains very technical and mobile. His main position is attacking midfielder, though he is also often deployed as a central midfielder or centre forward.
