Eight Wins for Armenia: Results of Day Three of the Youth European Boxing Championship in Yerevan

On November 5, the third day of the EUBC Youth and U23 European Boxing Championships in Yerevan was marked by strong performances from Armenian athletes. The Armenian national team delivered dynamic and confident boxing, securing eight victories across two sessions and becoming the most successful team of the day.

In the youth competition, Tigran Ovsepyan stood out with a dominant early stoppage in the first round. Argishti Hakobyan and Artyom Stepanyan also impressed, outboxing their opponents with clear scoring superiority.

In the U23 category, Armenia continued to demonstrate its dominance. Aren Aslamazyan and Artur Avetikyan both won their matches with identical, convincing score margins. Manvel Petrosyan and Harutyun Akobkokhyan added crucial wins, further strengthening Armenia’s position in the tournament bracket. In the heavyweight division, Ishkhan Ovsepyan earned special recognition after securing a hard-fought victory by split decision.

The teams from Belarus and Russia also delivered noteworthy results, but were visibly behind the host nation in total victories. The Russian team recorded three wins, with their only defeat coming in a match against Armenia’s Argishti Hakobyan.
