Armenian-American fighter Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani successfully completed his second appearance in the UFC.

The 27-year-old welterweight defeated South Korea’s Ko Seok-hyeon by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Du Plessis vs. Usman in Oklahoma City. All three judges scored the bout 29-28 in Lebosnoyani’s favor.

The victory improved Lebosnoyani’s professional record to 11-2, while his opponent fell to 13-3.

The fight was difficult and highly competitive. The Korean fighter landed more frequently in the striking exchanges, but Lebosnoyani successfully used his wrestling, completed three takedowns and spent more time controlling his opponent on the ground. “Mufasa” was also the more active fighter in the closing stages of the third round, helping him secure the judges’ decision.

This was Lebosnoyani’s second UFC victory, with both wins coming by decision. The Armenian-American made his promotional debut in February 2026, defeating Phil Rowe by split decision.

Jean-Paul has Armenian and Romanian roots. His father, Nerses Bosnoyan, is a jiu-jitsu coach. The fighter known as “Mufasa” earned his UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2025.
