The Hungarian national team may face further squad problems before the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Armenia.
Due to injuries, right-back Bendegúz Bolla (Rapid Vienna, Transfermarkt — €2.5m) and centre-back Attila Szalai (Trabzonspor, €1.7m) missed their recent club matches. Both are key players under Marco Rossi and started in the first two qualifiers — against Ireland (2:2) and Portugal (2:3).
It should also be noted that Roland Sallai and Barnabás Varga will miss the Armenia match due to suspension.
Hungary vs Armenia will take place on October 11 in Budapest.
