Tiknizyan helps Red Star Belgrade beat Vojvodina in Serbian league

Armenia international defender Nair Tiknizyan featured in the second round of the Serbian SuperLiga as reigning champions Red Star Belgrade defeated last season’s runners-up Vojvodina.
Tiknizyan started the match and played the full 90 minutes at left-back. The Armenian footballer made four key passes and created one goalscoring opportunity. He completed 43 passes with an accuracy rate of 80%.
Nair regularly joined the attack and made 24 progressive carries, although he lost possession 15 times. Defensively, Tiknizyan won two of his five duels and recorded one tackle, two clearances and one interception. He also regained possession for his team seven times. Statistical platform SofaScore gave him a rating of 7.0.
Osman Bukari, Vasilije Kostov and Dmitrije Šarić scored for the winners. Vojvodina’s only goal was scored by Nardin Mulahusejnović, who joined the club from Armenian side Noah this summer for €700,000.
Red Star Belgrade’s next match will be against Northern Irish club Larne in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds. The first meeting between the teams ended in a convincing 4–0 victory for the Serbian side.
