Armenia national team midfielder Tigran Avanesyan will continue his career in Uzbekistan. The 24-year-old footballer has signed a contract with Samarkand Dynamo, the club’s press service announced.

The agreement runs until the end of the current season, through December 2026, and includes an option to extend. The Armenian midfielder will wear the number 19 shirt for his new team.

Avanesyan’s most recent club was Russia’s Orenburg. A graduate of Kaliningrad’s Baltika academy, he has also represented CSKA Moscow and Arsenal Tula. At international level, he played for Russia’s under-17 team and Armenia’s under-19 side. He has been called up to the Armenia senior national team since 2024 and has made five appearances.

Avanesyan was born in Tashkent on April 13, 2002. According to Dynamo’s press service, many of his relatives were born in Samarkand and still live in the city.

The Uzbekistan championship is already in full swing, with the teams having completed 13 rounds. Samarkand Dynamo’s squad also includes Draman Salou, who previously played for Armenian clubs Urartu and Pyunik.
